It happened during a CrossFit workout.
The bar grew heavier with every rep. My lungs burned, and my mind had already decided the final rep wasn’t possible.
Then my coach, Coach Mario, looked at me and said,
“We get to do this.”
In that moment, everything changed.
Those words weren’t simply encouragement –
they were a shift in perspective.
For the first time, I stopped seeing the workout as something I had to endure and started seeing it as an opportunity.
An opportunity to grow, become stronger, and embrace a privilege many would give anything to have.
I finished the rep, but more importantly, I carried that perspective with me long after the workout ended.
I realized those five words extend far beyond the gym.
They are a reminder that every challenge, every setback, and every new day is an opportunity to become stronger.
That moment became the foundation of
